Spacious upstairs main bedroom features extra-king-size double bed and vaulted traditional alang-alang grass roof.

Downstairs main bedroom features extra-king-size double bed that can be split into a pair of twin beds if required.

Spare downstairs bedroom features bunk-beds.

All bedrooms are air-conditioned and non-smoking.

Private grounds feature tropical plants and trees, fish-pond, water-features, statues, and a 16-metre organically-shaped infinity-effect swimming pool with children’s pool (that doubles as reflecting pool), gazebo, decking area with sun-beds and parasols, and seating area under pergola.

We also have a tree-house for children.

LOCATION

With its year-round sunshine, gorgeous scenery, fascinating culture and friendly locals, the island of Bali in Indonesia is repeatedly voted the most enchanting holiday destination in the world.

Head to the far North of the island and you’ll come to Lovina, a charming resort town known for its fishing, wild dolphins, gorgeous sunsets and peaceful, laid-back atmosphere.

Although Lovina is far less developed than Kuta, in the south of the island, it still has plenty of amenities, such as shops, bars and restaurants.

Villa Santhi is situated on a quiet beach around 5-10 minutes’ drive along the coast from the centre of Lovina.

Panoramic ocean views at the front of the villa complement sweeping rice field and mountain views at the rear. From our upper terrace, you can see traditional fishing boats gliding out on the morning tide as dolphins frolic and play. Most evenings are punctuated by glorious sunsets, which reveal magnificent volcanoes on the horizon, as fishermen’s lights sparkle over the ocean. The perfect setting for your tropical dream holiday.

About 5-10 minutes’ drive along the coast in the other direction is Singaraja, Bali’s former capital. This is a fascinating historical city with a harbour, shops, banks, market, museums, temples and palaces.

We are close enough to Lovina and Singaraja for convenience, but remote enough to be truly peaceful and secluded.

Our central location is ideal for exploring Bali: most of the island’s major attractions, such as spectacular volcanoes, lakes and waterfalls, are in easy range, and your journeys are on quiet roads through delightful scenery.

The area is noted for its exuberantly-carved temples, hot springs, and waterfalls. Further out, but still in easy range, is the impressive natural haven of Bali Barat National Park, which includes Menjangan Island – a wonderful diving and snorkelling site.

We are also in easy range of Gunung Batur, a hugely impressive (and still active) volcano which houses a beautiful lake in its caldera.

Further West, and even closer, is Bedugul, where you can visit the impressive botanical gardens, enjoy a treetop tour, take a dugout canoe on the lake, and more.

From the villa, you can walk straight out to the sea. We have a gently-sloping beach, without big waves and currents, and it’s very safe to swim. If you like snorkelling, you’re in for a treat. Just swim out for a few minutes and you’ll arrive at a colourful coral reef teeming with tiny iridescent fish – what a fantastic front-garden!
