Pakistani intelligence officials said U.S. missile attacks killed at least nine militants in the remote tribal areas in the country's northwest near the Afghan border.Authorities said several missiles fired from an unmanned plane on Tuesday on a militant compound in the area of Shawal, North Waziristan.
The attack was a missile attack at least the 10th this month in the area. Shawal region of North Waziristan became the base of Taliban militants and al-Qaeda.
